Full Course Description

Algebra 2 builds on the foundation students have developed algebraically in Algebra 1 and spatially in Geometry to prepare them for advanced mathematics topics in the Calculus series. In this course, students will follow the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum focusing on active learning through discussion, exploration, and mathematical modeling. Rather than memorizing formulas and procedures, students will develop their own problem-solving techniques with guidance from an expert instructor and collaborate with their classmates to solidify conceptual understanding and procedural fluency.
